Scottsdale, Ariz. (April 19, 2006) – The Automotive Dealership Institute has been hand-picked by SLM Financial to be among the very few private schools across the nation to participate in a pilot program that utilizes the student loan organization’s new e-signature loan documentation process. The program, which is expected to be released to other schools in the SLM network later this summer, will cut down considerably on the time and expense for student loan approvals and disbursements.
“This is an exceptional program that SLM Financial has developed,” said ADI President Keith Tuber, “and we are flattered to be one of the first schools in the nation to take advantage of it. A good percentage of our students fly in to take our course from other states. This means those students will receive their traveling and living expense funds much sooner as a result of signing their contracts online, instead of waiting for multiple FedEx deliveries, especially when there are co-signers involved. This is a benefit to schools as well as students, as the new paperless process will save on extensive delivery and other expenses.”
The e-signature program also alleviates signature distortion and other readability factors sometimes associated with the faxing of documents. Both the borrower and the co-borrow, if necessary, are required to log into the computer system, making it safe and secure.
“The Automotive Dealership Institute is one of our best accounts, both in high volume and the quality of their student loans,” said SLM Financial Educational Account Executive J. Benjamin Steffen, whose territory includes Arizona and New Mexico, and who himself graduated from ADI last November. “We trust them and value their input greatly. It is a pleasure working with them,. We hold ADI and its staff in high regard for its ability to effectively and efficiently handle the SLM loan processes, and for its exceptionally high integrity and training standards.”
