ADI On-line program

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Automotive Dealership Institute is expanding its offerings beyond traditional classroom instruction with the addition of an e-learning program to help busy professionals pursue their educational goals without having to travel or take time off work.

Students will have the option to complete online the entire program or specific portions based on their needs and interests. Each course can be completed at an individual’s own pace and at any location with an Internet-accessible computer. After two years of development, ADI’s online university will be released during the F&I Conference & Expo in November.

“Many dealers can’t afford to send employees away during business hours, so this is a great alternative,” said Alan Algan, ADI’s CEO and Executive Director. “If a dealer thinks his employees need to improve their legal compliance, credit bureau analysis, menu presentation skills or objection handling, etc., an online course is an effective way to develop these skills while still being available in the dealership.”

ADI’s course modules include interactive elements and filmed examples of real-life situations dealership managers face daily. In addition, all chapter tests and the final examination are completed and submitted electronically with results returned immediately. Students will be able to print their up-to-date transcripts and calculate the number of credit units earned, and keep track of their progress at any time.

“Our program is very different from the seminars commonly used to train dealership personnel. It’s more interactive and uses multimedia, including video, voiceover, graphics and hands-on practices,” said ADI Dean of Education Arzu Algan. “Most importantly, the courses require a certain level of proficiency to earn credit.”

Every class ADI offers, whether online or in the classroom, is a government-approved college course. This lends credibility to dealership employees who complete the courses and can instill greater confidence in a dealership’s customers.

Students can earn up to 32 credit units, transferable to Northwood University. ADI is licensed by the State of Arizona Board for Private Postsecondary Education and approved by the Department of Education. This designation allows it to offer federal government-backed student loans.

These student loans cover tuition and provide the student with additional funds — up to 60 percent of the tuition amount — for personal expenses. Students can defer their loan payments for the first 12 months and can take up to 15 years to repay the loan.
