Scottsdale, AZ (Oct. 31) - Automotive Dealership Institute F&I Instructor Steve Rinas has been invited to address the 37th Annual Arizona Independent Automobile Dealers Association annual convention taking place Nov. 4-5 at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort in Scottsdale, AZ. He will join representatives from the Office of the Inspector General, the State Banking Commission and the Arizona Department of Revenue, among other officials, during the dealer education segment of the convention.

“We are pleased to have someone with Mr.Rinas’ credentials talk to our members,” said Charity Crawford, executive director of the AIADA. “I know there is keen interest in his topic, and that our dealers are looking forward to hearing what he has to say.”

Rinas will discuss how hiring and retaining good management and sales personnel has a significant impact on independent dealerships.

At smaller independent dealerships, there is less distinction between job duties, with one person often wearing the hats of many,” said Rinas. “This is why independent dealerships realize the importance of a properly trained staff. Not only can a well-trained staff dramatically increase dealership profits, but it can also improve CSI and help retention efforts.

Rinas is responsible for teaching the Automotive Dealership Institute’s Automotive Finance Management program. He also helps research and update the class curriculum to include recent legislative changes concerning the automotive industry. He has more than 13 continuous years of automobile management experience in various senior management positions, ranging from F&I director to general manager. He was nationally recognized by Ford Motor Co., General Motors Corp. and American Honda as a top achiever. Rinas was the subject of an article in the August 1996 edition of Automotive News.
